Sketches

This sketch was obviously inspired by Anna’s poem. I think I might draw a more cartoony one later where the spider had giant eyes and a sack of dew drops. spider

I finally went out to the bar the other night, but all my friends were busy. So I just ended up drinking a glass of wine and doodling a bit. Usually pulling out my drawing book starts conversations rather quickly….but it was fight night…so no one cared.

This last one was inspired by the poem ‘Waiting Afield at Dusk’ by Robert Frost. This was just a sketch, I started a painting like this. The colors didn’t scan well.

Sketches

Just some sketches from the last two days. And on a side note…my day was absolutely wonderful today.

I never realized how hard it was to draw a glass of water with ice and a lemon in it….omg…it’s ridiculous! So…I’m going to work on it..I drew this while I was waiting on a friend for breakfast.ice-water

I went to a tupperware party tonight, and there was the cutest little 17 month old boy named Michael. Absolutely adorable. The only thing was he wouldn’t hold still long enough for me to draw him. Always moving around with a big smile or a look of concentration on his face. The only thign about this sketch is he looks older…like he’s 12 years old instead of 17 months. So I’m going to try and work on drawing people of all ages. I think that will help.
